Luxor in Las Vegas to Transform Former Nightclub into Esports Arena

In the never-ending quest to attract a younger audience to casinos, MGM Resorts has announced that a former nightclub at the Luxor in vegas will reopen as an esports arena.

The Luxor is remodeling its nightclub that is now-defunct LAX an esports arena. The target is to pull in a younger demographic, not as enchanted by traditional slot machines as their parents.

The business has entered into a deal with Allied Esports and Esports Arena to develop a dedicated venue for gamers at the now closed LAX nightclub. The 30,000-square-foot space will have multi-level arena filled with competition stage, LED video clip wall, telescopic seating, day-to-day gaming stations, a customized food and beverage providing, and a state-of-the-art streaming and television-quality manufacturing studio.

Niklas Rytterstrom, general manager of Luxor, believes that esports could be the future and will be one of many more popular features at the Strip hotel, when it is completed in June 2018.

‘Our company is the leader in the entertainment industry and recognizes the growth that is exciting the esports industry,’ he said. ‘ With this partnership, we will introduce a new experience to industry myfreepokies.com, again elevating the city’s vast entertainment offerings.’

NFL Flexes Muscles Over Players’ Supply Wrestling Contest at MGM Grand

The NFL could have sanctioned the Raiders’ move to Las vegas, nevada but that doesn’t mean it’s happy for the players to hold out in gambling enterprises, even for arm-wrestling contests.

Over 30 players, including Maurkice Pouncey, Mychal Kendricks, Navarro Bowman, Kenny Stills, and Marquette King, might find themselves in hot water for competing in the inaugural ‘Pro Football Arm Wrestling Championship’ at the MGM Grand over the weekend.

The event was co-hosted by Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison and former operating back Marshawn Lynch, a made-for-TV deal that is defined to be broadcast on CBS on May 27 28.

But in accordance with NFL policy, players are not permitted to ‘promote casino activities,’ which includes attending casinos as part of promotional activities, unless they seek pre-approval, which, based on the NFL, is really what everyone apparently forgot to accomplish.

‘Had we been asked ahead of time if this was appropriate, we would have indicated that it was in direct violation associated with the gambling policy,’ Joe Lockhart, the NFL’s VP for communications and public affairs, told USA TODAY Sports. ‘No one sought pre-approval.’
